La Guinguette du Lac

Contrary to all the reviews, I really liked this restaurant. The staff is very friendly, the food is just too good. We had salmon lasagna and mussels with pistou. I can say that this is the first time I have eaten well-seasoned mussels since I have been in France. And it has a pleasant view of the lake. I highly recommend.

Great place, salads are huge and the service is very fast. Very nice people too, attentive and polite. Has a kids menu that comes with ice cream and drinks. It’s off menu so you have to ask. It’s the only place in the area if you’re at lac saint croix at one of their beaches. Recommended. Share a salad as they are humongous!!

A 300 gram sirloin steak for 24 euros. The maxi salad is also more than sufficient and well varied. Definitely recommended!

My and my bf ordered a kebab and we seriously didn’t expect it to be sooo goood! Definitely recommend visiting the place for something yummy and fast. Nice staff as well!

Service was fast, the dishes were really generous and the staff was very reactive and dynamic. We had a view on the lake, perfect place to go for lunch !

You might think it's a tourist trap given the location.But in reality first of all the restaurant is pleasant, the team takes great care, everyone has their role, top organization, friendly, generous service, a polycultural team with a Sicilian pizza guy, gypsies, a Mongolian, a Tunisian, a Tahitian, and I forget some I think, although they all happen to be equally pleasant. Plates as generous as the members of the team (whether it's the -real- maxi salads, the homemade pizzas, the entrecôte, the plates from the children's menu with fresh salad, melon, watermelon...), quality products, everything is frankly perfect. With a superb view, the Guinguette du Lac, I start again more than warmly. Open continuously from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., from May to October.Thanks to the team, you are all on top!

A nice place near Lake Sainte-Croix. I had lunch a little "outside" of time, around 3.00 pm... and so there was parking for the car, a table of your choice, all the attention of the staff. It was all very good, pleasant and relaxing…

After the negative reactions, which I only read when I was already sitting on the terrace, I was a bit hesitant. But nothing could be further from the truth.Ate 2 fries and 2 kebab dishes here. We each had something to drink and we only had to pay 49 euros. I really liked it.Yes... it looks a bit makeshift, but my son thought that was the nice thing about it. He liked the atmosphere that way.The only disadvantage I found was that there was no menu, but that the waiter stood in front of you with a large chalkboard with the menu on it and you felt a bit rushed.Furthermore, the food came very quickly and was really tasty.So honestly I don't understand the negative comments here.And yes... 1 person complains that he was not allowed to eat his own bread on the terrace. Well, sorry...... but that seems logical to me. You're not going to eat your own stuff in a restaurant, are you? Then sit by the water.
